Dr Lea contributed much to the parishioners of Balsall Common not only as a doctor but also as a long standing and active Councillor of Balsall Parish Council. Councillors past and present owe him much gratitude for his work as do all Balsall Common parishioners.

That smile. Peter was the cheeky, motor bike riding model for my youth. Staying with his Mum and Dad in Birmingham as a teenager I thought Peter was everything I myself wanted to be. Witty, irreverent, worldly, confident with a bedroom full of saucy books and slogans. Yet behind the smile and the wit was a listening person with an amazing work ethic who went on make a difference to so many. Few of us will ever get to achieve in life what he has.
